About Justin Raithel
Justin Raithel is a dedicated community volunteer and an experienced leader who works to find the best solutions for our community.
Justin has served on the Folsom and Sacramento County Planning Commissions and has spent over eight years successfully fighting for safe routes to schools, increased connections to open spaces, and preservation of our heritage oak trees. Justin has advocated for local businesses and has spearheaded improvements in city and county regulations to reduce red tape. Justin also has served on Folsom's Historic District Commission helping to preserve our unique and special historic district and the Library Commission focusing on expanding access and programs for all.
Justin is a founding member of Folsom’s Community Service Day and chaired the Steering Committee for the last three years. During this time, Justin created the Neighbors Helping Seniors program to help our seniors prepare their homes for the rainy season. Justin is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Folsom and has served many years as the Chair of Community Service coordinating dozens of projects on our parks, trails, and local non-profits. Justin was recognized as the 2020 Volunteer of the Year by the Folsom Chamber of Commerce.
Justin has previously served on the board of the Folsom Chamber of Commerce as a local business owner and has taken multiple study mission trips to other cities to learn best practices. Justin was honored by the Sacramento Business Journal in their prestigious "40 under 40" awards in 2016. Throughout his terms on various non-profit boards, his focus has always been on how to make Folsom a more vibrant, happier, and healthier place to call home.
Justin received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a licensed professional engineer. He worked as an engineer in the United States, Europe, and Africa before relocating to Folsom to start a business. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Symmetry for Health and is a partner in a startup medical software company he co-founded after completing the UC-Davis Coding Bootcamp.
Justin is recently engaged and lives with his fiancé and her two incredible children in Briggs Ranch. In his downtime, Justin enjoys volunteering for many of our local non-profits, sailing on Folsom Lake, and patronizing Folsom's many small businesses.
